To whom it maybe concern,
I live in Toronto and have worked at my company around 7 years. I would like to know how many official vacation week I could have. Please advice.
Rgds
Ivan
Yvan,
Thank you for your question. In Ontario, if you work in a federally-regulated industry, you are entitled to 3 weeks of vacation after completing 6 years of employment. If you work in a provincially-regulated industry, you are entitled to 2 weeks of vacation time off.

Hi,
I have been with the same company since November of 2002. Would I be entitled to 4 weeks vacation now? Located in Ontario. It is a small publishing company that is family owned.
Thanks,
Karen
Karen,
That would be entirely up to your employer and the policies they have in place. There is no provision within the Ontario Labour Standards for 4 weeks of vacation. However, that does not prevent an employer from doing so.
Hi
I am in Nova Scotia I was off on 6 week sick leave. Am I still entitled to my 2 weeks vacation?
