Are you hiring students this summer?

Many business and not-for profit organisations will be hiring students during the summer months.  The following funding programs that can assist employers:

Canada Summer Jobs provides funding to help employers create summer job opportunities for students. It is designed to focus on local priorities, while helping both students and their communities. This is for businesses with fewer than 50 employees as well as not for profit employers.  The deadline to apply is 26 February 2016.

In Nova Scotia, the Student Summer Skills Incentive (SKILL) offers wage assistance to non-profit organizations offering career-related summer jobs for students going into university or community college in the fall.  The deadline to apply is 29 January 2016.
