CPA and Corporate Coach
Location: Bridgewater, NS
Status: Full time

Our client, Swain & Associates,  is looking for a full time CPA and Corporate Coach both high-level client service as well as meaningful internal employee support. The CPA and Corporate Coach is responsible to promote an environment of rapidly growing at ground-breaking speed, accuracy and learning. And most importantly – inspiration!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality controls are in place and are being actively adhered to;
  • Meet or exceed client deadlines and Swain’s standards;
  • Energetically identify ways to add value to clients’ situations;
  • Maintain excellent team morale;
  • Promote learning and open-up learning opportunities to Corporate Players;
  • Provide one-on-one support to Corporate Players;
  • Networking for the purpose of branding and obtaining new clients.

Key Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Relevant college or university education with CPA designation;
  • 3 years of supervisory experience;
  • Software fluent; e.g. Simply Accounting, Quickbooks, Excel, etc;
  • Sound knowledge of tax and compliance;
  • Be a self-starter, have strong multitasking skills and be able to deliver services in required timeframes;
  • Ability to effectively build and lead a team of professionals;
  • Ability to thrive in a culture of collaboration and service;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills;
  • Solid verbal and written communications, interpersonal and relationship building skills;
  • Strong problem solving skills; and,
  • Ability to both leverage team strengths as well as develop any team gaps.

Our client, Swain & Associates,  is looking for a full time CPA and Corporate Player to provide high-level client service for Swain’s corporate clients. The CPA and Corporate Player is responsible to promote our “purpose” whenever possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of NTRs
  • Review engagements
  • Discover opportunities where business and tax planning could benefit client
  • Meet or exceed client deadlines and striving for Swain’s 3-week year end turn-around standards

Key Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Relevant college or university education with CPA designation
  • Software fluent; e.g. Simply Accounting, Quickbooks, Caseware, Profile
  • Sound knowledge of tax and compliance
