Though in\u00a0reality, HR pros<\/strong> has\u00a0been in business since last fall,\u00a0we officially marked the launch of our business on March 26th.\u00a0 More than 100 friends, clients, and supporters came out to help HR pros<\/strong> celebrate at an after hours champagne reception, held at the ever stylish\u00a0Halifax Club<\/a>.\u00a0 The event was graciously\u00a0co-hosted by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 Music was provided by East Coast Music Award nominee Lisa MacDougall\u00a0while Kraft Hunter<\/a>\u00a0recorded the\u00a0event on film.\u00a0\u00a0 As soon as photos are available, we’ll post them here.\u00a0 The event was also covered by\u00a0SNAP Halifax<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

In addition to eating, drinking, and talking, HR pros<\/strong> took a few minutes to talk about human resources management in these difficult economic times.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00bb It might sound counter-intuitive in a recession but organizations should be investing in their workforce right now.\u00a0 In the immediate, you will need people to do more and to be open to change and doing it differently.\u00a0 And, after the recession, you will need both the talent and the HR infrastructure in place to be poised to grow your business.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
