We launched \u201cWebinar Wednesday<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u201d, a\u00a0free webinar\u00a0open to all, the third Wednesday of each month. The\u00a0schedule\u00a0is on our\u00a0website!<\/p>\n HR pros proudly launched its socially conscious\u00a0\u201cReferral Program<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u201d. Both the referrer and the referee are rewarded. Concomitantly, HR pros may take the reward amount and make a donation to the charity of the referrer\u2019s or referee\u2019s choice. Our clients are from all industry sectors and from not-for-profit organizations.<\/p>\n We conducted our first national Wage and Benefit survey.<\/p>\n We developed what might be the only Apprenticeship-specific appraisal system; certainly the only one we have seen.<\/p>\n HR pros starting building a stand-alone\u00a0training services division! Watch for more on this in early January.<\/p>\n Greg Cole, CHRP – Senior Consultant<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>joined HR pros as a Senior Consultant, HR and Training.<\/p>\n Greg has been a lecturer at both the university and college levels. \u00a0He has worked in human resources within the professional services and telecom industries, specifically, and among others. Since joining he has developed and delivered customized\u00a0training<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0solutions throughout NS and NB.<\/p>\n Greg is a longtime\u00a0Canadian Progress Club \u2013 Halifax<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0member and coordinated the educational component of the 2013 National Canadian Progress Club convention.He also joined the Ward 5 Neighbourhood Centre Board of Directors.<\/p>\n Greg recertified to the national Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation in October 2013.<\/p>\n Angela O\u2019Connell – Senior WCB, HR, OH&S Consultant<\/span><\/a><\/span>,\u00a0<\/strong>has taken on a larger client-facing role and is building her\u00a0WCB<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0practice.<\/p>\n Angela saved our clients easily $180,000.00 in\u00a0WCB<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0expenses through expert case file management and appeals! Fair to say she has the attention of the WCB!<\/p>\n Angela was a subject matter expert presenters at the \u201cDisability and Accommodation\u201d INFONEX conference.<\/p>\n Angela became a Director on the board of the Elizabeth Frye Society.<\/p>\n Tanya Sieliakus, CHRP –<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/span>VP Consulting Services<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>was guest speaker at the\u00a0Canadian Construction Association<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0AGM in March; she spoke about motivating the different generations. \u00a0She was also at the Roxul general meeting in ON in November. Roxul have recently started operating in the US and Tanya spoke about \u201cDiversity as a Competitive Business Advantage\u201d.<\/p>\n Tanya was a subject matter expert presenters at the \u201cDisability and Accommodation\u201d INFONEX conference in November.<\/p>\n Tanya presented \u201cRecruitment \u2013 Improving Your Efforts\u201d at the annual International Association Administrative Professionals (IAAP) conference; her third year presenting human resources management to the group.<\/p>\n Tanya Sieliakus became a Director on the board of\u00a0Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0and Chair of the Adult Services Committee. She also became a Director on the board of\u00a0Entrepreneur\u2019s with Disabilities Network<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0and Chairs the Member Services, Governance and Personnel committees.<\/p>\n Tanya recertified to the national Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation in October 2013.<\/p>\n Sylvain Allaire, CHRP –\u00a0VP Sales and Marketing <\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span>was a guest speaker at the at the Forum on Immigration of the\u00a0Conseil de D\u00e9veloppement \u00c9conomique de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0in March.<\/p>\n Sylvain was re-elected President of the\u00a0Francophone Chamber of Commerce of Halifax<\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n
